Countless salutations at the feet of Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay ji, a remarkable personality who provided the philosophy of building a nation through the development of individuals and society. As the pioneer of Ekatma Manavwad and Antyodaya (upliftment of the last person), his thoughts and ideals continue to inspire millions.

Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay was a sage statesman who introduced the concept of Integral Humanism to political thought and paved the way for shaping governance policies. He is regarded as the visionary behind the philosophy of national life for both the Jan Sangh and the Bharatiya Janata Party. The sapling Jan Sangh planted by him has expanded not just across India but has also made its mark globally as an idea. He created a political ideology focused solely on nation-building. He believed that politics should not be a mere pursuit of power but a means of serving society. Moreover, he emphasised that India’s journey as a nation should align with the essence of Indian philosophy.

Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay envisioned India’s future based on the four Purusharthas described in the Vedas: Dharma (righteousness), Artha (wealth), Kama (desires), and Moksha (Salvation). These four pursuits are achieved through the balance of mind, intellect, soul, and body, which form the foundation for an ideal society and nation.

The first Purushartha is Dharma, which encompasses education, values, and governance. The second, Artha, relates to resources, prosperity, and wealth, emphasizing ethical earning through adherence to human values. Pt. Deendayal ji advocated for earning wealth through rightful means, guided by one’s Dharma. The third, Kama, involves fulfilling all desires of the mind in a balanced, timely, and positive manner. The fourth, Moksha, represents the ultimate state of contentment. A content individual becomes the cornerstone for building a strong society and nation.

According to this concept, providing opportunities for individuals and society to develop will lead to a self-reliant and capable community.

Pt. Deendayal ji deeply contemplated nation-building and the vision for the future, encompassing the journey from the individual mind to the collective consciousness in alignment with Indian culture and traditions. His development philosophy was rooted in Integral Humanism, which integrates a holistic view of life. He found the direction for development at the core of Indian culture’s Integral Humanism. Our culture envisions the entirety of life and creation. This sense of unity constructs the collective from the individual. This comprehensive, universal, and relevant vision was at the heart of Pt. Deendayal ji’s developmental philosophy incorporates the ancient idea of Vasudaiva Kutumbakam (the world is one family) from Lord Krishna till today’s globalised era.

Under the visionary leadership of our Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji, efforts are being made to realise Pt. Deendayal ji’s vision on the ground. Deendayal ji believed that the more decentralised the economy, the more it would reach the grassroots, laying the foundation for creation with a Swadeshi (self-reliance) spirit. The economic reforms being undertaken under the leadership of the Hon’ble Prime Minister are fundamentally inspired by Pt. Deendayal ji’s economic philosophy. He elaborated on how India’s agriculture, industry, education and economic policies should be shaped.

The Hon’ble Prime Minister has brought Pt. Deendayal ji’s economic thoughts on life. Under his guidance, we are progressing with the concept of transitioning from heritage to development, which is crucial to achieving the goal of Antyodaya. Pt. Deendayal ji emphasised that true development is not possible until the welfare of the last person in the last line is ensured. Embracing this sentiment, we organised seven Regional Industry Conclaves in Madhya Pradesh, providing opportunities for every region and community to showcase their needs, capabilities, talents, and skills. Every individual in the state will become a part of this development stream, contributing to and benefiting from it. This summit will not only connect people from every corner and village of the state with industries but will also give global recognition to their products.

In pursuit of this vision, we have undertaken visits to the UK, Germany and Japan, and organised road shows in Hyderabad, Coimbatore and Mumbai to invite industrialists for investments. This is the first innovation of its kind, focusing on industries from regional to global levels. Moving forward in this direction, we are organising the Global Investors Summit in Bhopal on 24 & 25 February, 2025 under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji. This summit will embody Deendayal ji’s thoughts on Swadeshi and decentralisation. Every individual, even the one at the last rung of our industrial and business chains, will be directly or indirectly connected, achieving the goal of Antyodaya.

Pt. Deendayal ji envisioned development where drawing upon the world’s knowledge and our rich traditions, we would build a glorious India. The Prime Minister’s resolve is to establish India as the supreme global power by the centenary of our independence in 2047.

I am pleased to share that our efforts to link the local with the global to make Madhya Pradesh prosperous and flourishing will be evident at the Global Investors Summit. I am confident that this initiative will be a significant step towards building a developed Madhya Pradesh, in line with Pt. Deendayal ji’s vision of economic development.
